Why we built Scoraide
Scoraide started at a kitchen table in Ohio. One of us watched his own son prepare for the ACT, take practice test after practice test, and bring home reports that marked every wrong answer without ever saying why it was wrong or what to do about it.
The scores moved up and down, but the reason stayed a mystery, and the studying turned into guessing. We built Scoraide to answer the question those reports left open: not just what a student missed, but why they missed it and what to practice next. That is the whole idea, and everything here is built around it.
What we believe
Practice should behave like the real exam.
Server-timed to the second, in the digital SAT and Enhanced ACT format, so the practice measures the same thing test day will.
Every wrong answer deserves an explanation aimed at the choice your student actually made.
Not a generic rationale for the right answer, but why the specific option they picked was tempting, and what to do differently.
A score is a snapshot, not a ceiling.
We report where a student is today and, more importantly, the two-week plan to move it.

Who's behind it
Scoraide is built and operated by Venakan Info Solutions, based in Ohio. It is a small team building one product carefully rather than many quickly.
Skolar is our AI system: it generates the questions, analyzes each answer, and powers the assistant that answers your questions on these pages. We tell you exactly where AI is used and where it isn't. Scores are computed deterministically by fixed rules, never by AI, and every generated question is checked before a student ever sees it.
